Synthos receives EcoVadis Gold Medal for the second consecutive year
Synthos, Europe’s largest producer of synthetic rubber, the global leader in the production of SSBR (solution styrene-butadiene rubber), and a leading European producer of expanded polystyrene (EPS), is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal. This means the company maintains its position among the global leaders in sustainability.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings. The organization assesses companies against environmental, social, ethical, and responsible supply chain criteria, based on internationally recognized standards.
In the 2026 EcoVadis assessment, Synthos ranked in the 97th percentile, confirming its position among the top 3% of highest-rated companies worldwide for sustainability performance. The company achieved its highest scores in Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Environment. This result reflects further progress in key ESG areas and confirms the company’s long-term commitment to responsible growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
“Receiving the EcoVadis Gold Medal once again confirms the importance of sustainability within our strategy and the commitment of Synthos teams across all locations. We are proud of this achievement, but at the same time we recognize that sustainability is an ongoing process. It is an integral part of how we create innovation, conduct business, and build value for our customers, employees, partners, and local communities. This distinction motivates us to keep raising the bar,” says Agata Gładysz-Stańczyk, President of the Management Board of Synthos.
Retaining the Gold Medal for another year confirms that Synthos’ sustainability efforts are continuous and systemic — especially since the EcoVadis assessment is valid for only 12 months, and the distinction itself is awarded not for an absolute score, but for a company’s position relative to other assessed companies. The EcoVadis Gold classification means a place among the top 5% of companies worldwide.
This result supports Synthos’ long-term ambitions and reflects the company’s consistent actions in areas such as climate change mitigation, the circular economy, responsible business conduct, and transparency. Synthos advances these efforts, among other things, through participation in the United Nations Global Compact initiative and reporting in line with ESRS and GRI standards.
Synthos intends to use the conclusions from the EcoVadis assessment to further improve its activities, set new priorities, and continue developing in the area of sustainability.
