SYNTECA® NdBR and NiBR are used in the tire industry for tread and sidewall compounds, and in other industries for a range of elastomeric products such as conveyor belts and golf balls.
Synthos produces SYNTECA® NdBR with a cis content of approx. 97% under a Michelin license with a neodymium catalyst. Due to its low glass transition temperature, low polydispersity level and linear structure it is used for tire compounds that provide excellent wear properties and low rolling resistance.
SYNTECA® NiBR has a cis content of approx. 96%. It is produced by a solution process using an organometallic nickel catalyst that produces a consistent, light coloured polymer that is particularly suitable for the manufacture of (U)HP tires.
