Synthos launches a new dispersion for the production of eco-friendly construction chemicals

The new product is Synthos Synexil^® SAB 05, a dispersion for the production of eco-friendly construction chemicals, such as paints for children’s rooms and for people with allergies. This is the company’s response to a real need and market trend to offer environmentally friendly products to end users.

The launch of the new SAB 05 eco-friendly dispersion under the Synexil^® brand is an important part of the implementation of Synthos’ Evergreen Sustainable Development Strategy. The strategy involves manufacturing products that are 100% sustainable and developed with a sense of responsibility for our environment. The new product in the company’s portfolio fulfils this objective.

The new dispersion stands out due to its excellent UV resistance and a low film formation temperature, thanks to which it can be used to produce solvent-free construction chemicals. The dispersion is also characterised by very good scrub resistance, which allows paints based on Synexil SAB 05 to fulfil their practical function in everyday use.

Synexil SAB 05 meets the strictest standards for low emissions. White interior paint based on this dispersion meets the highest standards for the prevention of indoor air pollution. This has been confirmed by tests conducted by an independent institute.

For this reason, our new eco-friendly dispersion does not contain emulsifiers such as APEO, solvents, ammonia, and formaldehyde donors. Thanks to all these distinguishing features, Synexil® SAB 05 is perfect as a base for paints that can be used in children’s rooms and by allergy sufferers,’ explains Damian Nowak, Product Manager.

Our new construction project in Oświęcim will help us achieve this goal. We have just started building a production plant for eco-friendly dispersions and adhesives, which will improve the process of bringing more plant-based products to market for the manufacture of paints, varnishes, furniture and windows. For Synthos, this is the next step towards achieving sustainable development goals in line with our Evergreen strategy. The end of construction is scheduled for 2023.
