SYNTECA® NdBR / NiBR – High-cis Polybutadiene Rubber

SYNTECA® NdBR and NiBR are high-cis polybutadiene rubbers (PBR) produced with neodymium and nickel catalyst systems.
They are primarily used in tire tread and sidewall compounds, as well as in technical rubber goods, where excellent elasticity, wear resistance, and dynamic performance are essential.

Both catalyst systems provide precise microstructure control, resulting in polymers with narrow molecular weight distribution and excellent consistency.

Synthos manufactures SYNTECA® NdBR and NiBR to meet the demanding requirements of the tire and automotive industries.

Their high-cis content ensures:

  • Low hysteresis and reduced rolling resistance
  • Excellent abrasion and flex-fatigue resistance

  • Stable dynamic mechanical properties across temperatures
