Polish Company - International Champion
Synthos S.A. has received a distinction in the Exporter category during the 7th edition of the competition entitled the Polish Company - International Champion.
The "Polish Company - International Champion" competition promotes active participation of Polish companies in global markets. The chapter rewards Polish companies which, through their foreign investments and export activity, transform into global entities that effectively compete on foreign markets and develop the brand value of Poland in the international arena.
The organizers of the competition are PwC and Puls Biznesu.
Top Industry Diamonds
Synthos Group was one of the companies awarded with Top Industry Diamonds. The awards were granted during the Top Industry Summit 2018.
Top Industry Diamonds were awarded to the best investments and the most outstanding entrepreneurs who contribute to the development of the Polish economy.
Below we present the justification of the award granted to Synthos S.A: “The winner of the award in the category of Technology Leader is a company for which innovation is the basic instrument for fighting for competitive position on the market. The company's goal is to provide new, innovative products and register new patents. It demonstrated its innovative approach by implementing the InVento X project, the aim of which is to launch the production of modern polystyrene for foaming. Based on their experience, they systematically expand their product portfolio and invest in the construction of new production plants. The prize in this category is awarded to Synthos
Honorary Badge of the Prime Minister
Synthos S.A. was awarded the Honorary Badge "For merits in the field of inventions". This distinction was awarded by the Prime Minister in recognition of the company's special merits in the field of inventions. The award was presented during the Jubilee Gala on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.
Synthos the winner of the Index of Economic Patriotism
Synthos S.A. is awarded the Index of Economic Patriotism, the ranking conducted by the editors of “Rzeczpospolita” and the “Foundation of Economic Patriotism”. The company has become the winner in the category of large companies (turnover exceeding PLN 1 bn.).
The awards are presented to companies which in particular contributed to the development of the country and economic patriotism, and at the same time do not shirk their obligations towards the country and society. Synthos has become the winner of the Index of Economic Patriotism for the second time in a row.
Synthos among the winners of the “Investor Without Borders” award
Synthos S.A. is one of the winners of “Investor Without Borders”, the award granted by the organisers of the European Economic Congress. The prestigious awards were granted to companies, the investments of which are a strong developmental impulse for the Polish economy.
Winners of the “Investor Without Borders” awards were foreign investors in Poland and Polish companies investing abroad. Among other things, the scale of investments, their influence on the potential of Polish economy, the innovative nature (transfer of technology and know-how), the significance of investments for the Polish labour market and for the building of the Polish brand around the world were taken into consideration.
Synthos was recognised for the important and bold acquisition in the European chemistry sector, i.e. the last year’s acquisition of Ineos Styrenics.
The awards were presented on 10 May during the evening gala closing the first day of the 9th European Economic Congress (ECC) in Katowice.
Synthos rewarded in the "Polish Company - International Champion" competition
Synthos S.A. is the winner of “Polish Company - International Champion 2016” competition, in the category of "Polish Private Companies - Investor". The prize was awarded for the transaction of purchase of the Ineos Styrenics business unit, which made the Synthos S.A. Group a leader on the market.
The "Polish Company - International Champion" competition promotes active participation of Polish companies on global markets. The chapter rewards Polish companies which, through their foreign investments and export activity, transform into global entities that effectively compete on foreign markets and develop the brand value of Poland in the international arena of foamed polystyrene (EPS), the main ingredient of polystyrene.
The "Polish Company - International Champion" competition is organised by PwC and "Puls Biznesu" under the patronage of the Polish Champion programme and in cooperation with PKO Bank Polski. The honorary patronage over the contest was taken by the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The results of this year's edition were announced on December 1st in Warsaw. On behalf of the company, the prize was collected by Michał Sołowow, its major shareholder.

Synthos S.A. is the winner of the Małopolska Business Award 2016, in the category of the Large Enterprise.
Małopolska Business Award is granted since 2009 to the most active companies. The winners are chosen by the Małopolska Economic Council the composition of which is created by the group of experts bringing together representatives of regional business and scientific circles.
The aim of the award is to promote the most active entrepreneurs from the Małopolska voivodeship. their pro-investment attitudes and achievements in innovation. Winners are selected in three categories: small, medium and large entrepreneur.
The Awarding ceremony took place on 17 September 2016 during the Małopolska Innovation Festival. Jacek Krupa, Marshal of the Małopolska Voivodeship, congratulated the winners.
Key to Success for Synthos
Synthos S.A. received the Key to Success, the award granted by the editors of the "Industrial chemicals" magazine for starting the New Technologies R&D Centre in Oświęcim.
The award took place during the Chemist Gala at the 22nd Science and Technology Symposium Chemistry 2016 which was held in January in Płock.
"For many years Synthos has been aware of the fact that achieving and maintaining an established market position requires not only personal abilities, but also knowledge and experience. Success is achieved by those who seek innovative solutions and can listen to the needs of the modern market", said Jerzy Majchrzak, the Director of the Department of Innovation and Industry of the Ministry of Development, handing over the statue of the Key to Success to Zbigniew Warmuz, vice-president of the board of Synthos S.A.
Badge of the Ministry of Economy
Synthos S.A. was awarded Honour Badge for Contributions to the Development of Polish Economy, granted by the Ministry of Economy. The award took place during the 2nd Scientific Conference entitled "Production Engineering in the Late Modern Period" organised by the Institute of Management and Production Engineering of the Higher Vocational School in Oświęcim, in cooperation with the Association of Chemical Engineers and Technicians, Oświęcim Department.
The badge was obtained from the hands of representatives of the Polish Federation of Engineering Association (NOT), the president of the Beskid Council of Scientific and Technical Association Federation NOT - Edward Then and vice-president Antoni Danel by Zbigniew Warmuz, vice-president of the board of Synthos S.A.
Synthos is the winner of the Economic Patriotism Index
The Rzeczpospolita daily and the Economic Patriotism Foundation gave out awards as part of the Economic Patriotism Index. Synthos is one of the eight winners of the competition. The company received an award in the category of large enterprises.
The index and the awards are intended to recognise companies whose work contributes to the development of Poland and who diligently perform their duties to the society and the state.
Winners were chosen by the jury according to criteria such as paid taxes, expenditures for research and development and for charity.
Business Innovation Award
Synthos S.A. received the Business Innovation Award. The award was granted to the company by the Innovation Forum Advisory Board and the editors of the Polish Market economic magazine. The award took place at the 6th Innovation Forum in Rzeszów
Reactions - Innovations 2015
Synthos S.A. and the National Centre for Research and Development jointly received the "Reactions - Innovations 2015" honour awarded by the editors of the New Industry Economic Monthly Magazine and the wnp.pl website. The award was granted for the innovative cooperation model aimed at the implementation of new generation products in order to increase the innovation of Polish chemical industry.
Ten of the most interesting and significant innovations - products, implementations and investments - made lately by Polish chemical and petrochemical companies were honoured during the Petroleum/Chemistry 2015 conference which was held in December 2015 in Warsaw.
Synthos S.A. and the National Centre for Research and Development were honoured for the performance of the joint undertaking dedicated for the chemical industry, based on the open innovation formula. The agreement between the National Centre for Research and Development and Synthos S.A. assumes that the partners perform joint and sustainable investments of private and public funds in research and development.
Among the best WIG20 companies
Synthos ranked 2nd in the Złota Akcja Biznes.pl 2014 TSR Ranking in the category Best Wig20 Company 2011-2013.
Złota Akcja Ranking is based on the Total Shareholder Return, which reflects the company’s value in long-term perspective.
The Ranking was made by the economic portal Biznes.pl.

Synthos S.A has once again been appointed by the Tyre Manufacturer Pirelli as one of the best suppliers. It already received the honour in 2013.
Pirelli has chosen the nine winners from 12 thousand suppliers from all over the world, on the basis of objective criteria, including ongoing development, quality, level of service and innovation.
