Synthos among Pirelli’s best suppliers in 2021
On December 1, Synthos received the prestigious “2021 Supplier Award” from global tire manufacturer Pirelli. With these awards, Pirelli recognizes companies that distinguish themselves in making Pirelli’s supply chain even more sustainable, innovative and of the highest possible quality.
Since 2011, the Pirelli Group has led the ranking of its best suppliers. Each year, the nine best companies are selected from over 14,000 suppliers throughout the global chain.
The main criteria for the 2021 Supplier Awards were care for the environment through an increasingly sustainable supply chain – with lower CO2 emissions, high quality, innovation, speed and global presence. This year, Synthos was again among the few selected companies recognized by Pirelli as a true business partner with shared values. Our company was honored in the Performance category.

Synthos attaches crucial importance to the environmental aspects of its operations. The company has adopted a Sustainable Development Strategy that aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 28% and completely phase out coal by 2028, achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050 and manufacture 100% sustainable products by 2030. The company also plans to increase the share of renewable resources in its raw material base and reduce energy and utility consumption by 2030. To achieve these goals, Synthos is focusing on investing in low- and zero-carbon energy sources and developing innovative products to reduce its carbon footprint in construction, transportation and agriculture.
