A new investment in the dispersions and adhesives segment

Synthos is commencing its new investment with its objective of increasing the production capacity of water dispersions, i.e. solutions used in the broadly understood construction chemicals. The investment is going to consist of the construction of a new production line equipped with the storage facilities. The project will be completed in 2023 and will allow us to increase our production capacity by approximately 17 thousand tons per year.

The enhanced production capacity will allow, above all, to expand the current portfolio with the new ecological acrylic and styrene-acrylic dispersions, intended chiefly in the segment of construction chemicals (including non-coalescing paints, premium paints in the I class of wet-scrub resistance and stain-blocking paints, water-based acrylic PSA adhesives (including adhesives for protective films, masking tapes) and wood coatings (including pigmented and transparent UV-resistant wood coatings). The new installation is also planned to produce completely new ecological adhesives for wood, applicable, among others, in the production of doors, windows and furniture.

Special attention ought to be given to the fact that the new investment, the purpose of which is to enhance the production and storage capacities, will also secure the sales needs of the water dispersions and adhesives segment and will allow to expand further of this product-type in Western Europe as well as Central and Eastern Europe.

The core objective of Synthos is to deliver high-quality solutions, including those that are absolutely safe – both for the environment as well as for the users of the finished products. What is particularly significant, through the production of ecological emulsion polymers that will be offered by Synthos, the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and hazardous substances in the segment of construction chemicals will be limited. We believe that by constant improvement of our solutions, we have the real impact on positive changes in the world around us.
