Synthos S.A. is one of the largest manufacturers of chemical raw materials in Poland, as well as being Europe’s No. 1 manufacturer of emulsion rubbers and third largest manufacturer of polystyrene for foaming applications. Synthos S.A. was established on the basis of Firma Chemiczna Dwory S.A. and Kaucuk a.s.

The company’s name, SYNTHOS, derives from a fusion of two words of Greek origin, sunthesis, from suntithenai, meaning ‘place together’ and orthos, meaning ‘straight, right’ (as defined by the Concise Oxford English Dictionary). The name replicates the Company’s mission, which is to manufacture and supply its clients with chemical products and solutions for further processing, thus contributing to the development of every client’s business. The name also reflects the nature of the Company’s operations, which is chemical synthesis.

Synthos S.A. manages two manufacturing companies, Synthos Dwory 7 Spółka z ograniczoną Odpowiedzialnością S.K.A., which has its registered office in Oświęcim and Synthos Kralupy a.s., which has its registered office in Kralupy, in the Czech Republic.
